A Leeds dad will make a dream trip to Norfolk after winning a Father’s Day competition run by Woodforde’s Brewery.

Tony Flynn’s daughter, Nichola Miller, entered the Father’s Day competition earlier this month. Tony was one of three winners. Each will receive a hamper of Woodforde’s beer, merchandise, and a tour of its brewery at Woodbastwick.

“It’s amazing to have won,” said Nichola. “It was a real shock, but it’s a great surprise for dad. He’s a brilliant dad and grandfather. He’s so kind and would do anything for anyone, especially now for his grandchildren.

“We’ve lived all over — including growing up in Africa — but my mum and dad have always said they wanted to visit Norfolk. It’s great they now have a chance to go. My sister and I are planning on booking them somewhere nice to stay so they can make the most of their trip.”

She added: “Dad was a lager man when he was younger, but he’s really starting to get into his ales now. A colleague of mine told me Woodforde’s brews some great beers, so we’ve all been looking forward to giving them a try.”

Chris Fuller, marketing manager at Woodforde’s, said: “A huge congratulations to Tony and all our worthy winners in this year’s competition. “I hope they all enjoy their well-earned beers — and we can’t wait to welcome them to Woodbastwick for their brewery tour. Cheers to all the dads out there.”
