Mauldons Brewery is celebrating 20 years of one of its most popular ales, Silver Adder, with a special limited-edition canned release. It comes as the brewery continues to expand its offering and explore new opportunities within the premium beer market.

Following an initial small-scale online release earlier this year, the brewer is continuing the anniversary celebrations with the Silver Adder cans, with just a limited number of cases available.
The move into cans reflects growing demand for premium beer in more flexible and convenient formats, while allowing Mauldons Brewery to introduce Silver Adder to new audiences.
For the past 20 years, Silver Adder has built a loyal following thanks to its crisp, refreshing character and aromatic hop profile. Brewed with Willamette and Cascade hops, the super pale ale delivers a citrus burst followed by a clean, balanced finish, alongside pale malt characteristics and a fresh hop presence that has helped make it one of Mauldons Brewery’s best-selling beers.
The launch also forms part of a wider story for Mauldons Brewery and the Nedging Hall Estate, where heritage, provenance, and sustainability remain at the heart of the business. The brewery forms part of the family-run estate in Suffolk, which also includes pubs, country houses, and farmland. The estate grows barley on the farm, while Mauldons Brewery crafts ales enjoyed across the estate’s pubs.
“Silver Adder has been a huge part of Mauldons Brewery for the past 20 years, so we wanted to do something special to celebrate the anniversary,” said Ryan Sheffield, head of sales at Mauldons Brewery.
“We’ve had a fantastic response to the first release of cans earlier this year, and we’re excited to continue the celebrations with this limited-edition run. Silver Adder is known for its crisp, refreshing character, and we’re looking forward to seeing even more people enjoy it in a new format.”
Alongside Silver Adder, Mauldons produces a range of award-winning ales, including Black Adder, Suffolk Pride, Mole Trap, and White Adder. The brewery continues to champion traditional Suffolk brewing alongside modern favourites.
