To mark International Gruit Day we organised a gruit ale roundtable with three expert gruit brewers: Markus from Lahnsteiner Brewery in Germany 🇩🇪 (and also organiser of International Gruit Day), Simonas from Lithuanian gruit ale brewery Dundulis 🇱🇹, and Stoycho from Bulgarian craft brewery Rhombus🇧🇬

This was a wide-ranging chat about all things gruit, including the appeal and position of gruit ales in the modern craft beer market. Are they a niche product? Will the be “real ale craft beers”?
