BrewDog’s advent calendar, voted by Good Housekeeping as one of the best alcohol Advent calendars this year, has seen flying year-on-year sales for its first week of early bird orders.

BrewDog Advent calendar

The calendar comes with a special glass, and there are three limited edition festive beers among the 24. These are:

Hoppy Christmas (6% ABV): a seasonal Simcoe-led beer delivering citrus flavour by the sack load, with citrus and tropical fruit on the nose, tangy citrus, papaya and pineapple across the palate, all resting on a firm malty base.

Jingle Juice (5.2% ABV): tropical hops give juicy pineapple with a sticky edge, rolling into Seville orange and apricot warmth, like mulled fruit for the hazy beer crowd.

Cocoa Reserve (8% ABV): a decadent chocolate vanilla stout loaded with layers of roasted hazelnut, smooth vanilla, and rich cocoa, backed by a deep malt bill delivering notes of dark toffee, caramel, and freshly baked goodies. Malted oats bring a velvety mouthfeel, while Columbus hops keep things balanced with a subtle earthy bite.

“Our advent calendar has always been about giving beer lovers something to look forward to in the run-up to Christmas, but this year we’ve taken it a step further,” said John Beasley, chief marketing officer at BrewDog.

“Inspired by the distinctive artistry found across our bars and brewery, we’ve created something that celebrates BrewDog inside and out.”
