New beer launches and collaborations, in store, on bars, and online, from brewers around the UK

Loddon’s latest seasonal special is That’s Not My Armadillo, a 4.3% autumn pale with bright orange, mandarin, and stonefruit character. During a transfer on a brew day, head brewer Tara became fixated on the flavour profile of Amarillo hops, so much so that she decided to build a new beer recipe around them. “I thought the word Amarillo was cool, and then my mind randomly wandered to an armadillo, so That’s Not My Armadillo was born!”

Bishop Nick’s 4.2% ABV porter, Witch Hunt, is now in bottle. Defined by roasted chocolate malt, it’s hopped with Fuggles, Goldings, Celeia, and Aurora varieties.

Beer Hut have collaborated with Loughran Brewers Select on Everyday People, a 5.5% ABV rye IPA. “The rye brings the backbone: a bit of spice, a bit of bite, and a smooth, slightly dry finish that keeps it from getting sweet or sticky,” says the brewer. “On top sit three hops we couldn’t leave alone. Columbus gives it a resinous, dank punch. Simcoe adds pine and a hint of passion fruit. El Dorado brings ripe stonefruit and a touch of sweet candy.”

Flump (6.5% ABV) builds on Beak’s ever-evolving thick and hazy IPA base. It’s loaded with a blend of Citra, Strata, and Riwaka hops, bringing big hits of pink grapefruit, passionfruit, and fresh strawberries, all rounded out with a light touch of dank funk.

Extra Verse (7% ABV) is fresh from Wiper and True. An expressive, velvety IPA, it harmonises Eggers Special, El Dorado, and Sabro hops to deliver a tropical symphony of ripe melon, pineapple, and white wine, with a lingering, resonant finish.

New Day (6% ABV) is Docks Beers’ new American IPA. There’s a base of British Maris Otter malt and a hefty dose of US hops bringing big hits of citrus and pine. There’s a satisfying bitter finish.
