New beer launches and collaborations, in store, on bars, and online, from brewers around the UK
Firebrand is celebrating Cask Ale Week by brewing a 4.8% ABV pale ale inspired by an 1864 recipe. The beer takes inspiration from a period of significant change, when developments in brewing, cask conditioning, transport, and distribution were helping to shape the more approachable beers we know and drink today.
Founder and head brewer, Joe Thomson, has kept the recipe deliberately simple, with just pale ale malt and classic English Goldings hops. This creates a light biscuity and bready beer backbone, with earthy, floral hop character, firm bitterness, and a crisp, dry finish.
Abduction (6.5% ABV), a hazy IPA, is part three of five in Bluntrock’s Moon Juice Saga of beers. It pours a very pale yellow with a dense, thick white head, combining hot-side Centennial hops for classic grapefruit, citrus, and floral undertones, with a cold-side NZ blend of Anchovy, Nelson Sauvin, and Nectaron Cryo. The aroma bursts with melon, gooseberry, and kiwi, leading into a silky mouthfeel. With minimal bitterness, it delivers a fruity taste dominated by notes of pastilles, juicy pineapple, and sweet melon.
Pomona Island reckon Well So Could Anyone (8.1% ABV) could be their best ever DIPA. It’s a collaboration with DankHouse Brewing Co, of Newark, Ohio. Sweet strawberry and lime notes are bright and effervescent on the nose. It’s sweet with berry notes, yielding to rounded tropical notes of guava and pineapple. The finish is long and very juicy.
Track have collaborated with New Zealand’s Altitude Brewing to take on their flagship beer, Sled Dog, a 4.5% ABV pale. “We gave their recipe a special Track twist whilst matching their dry hop ofRiwaka, Mosaic, Citra and Waimea for a seriously citrusy flavour profile,” says the brewer. Also new from Track is another pale, Varying Degrees (5% ABV), which puts grapefruit, lime, and mandarin front and centre through the combination ofCitra, Simcoe and Krush, before finishing with resinous pine notes.
There are two new hazies from Left Handed Giant. Parallel Paths (8% ABV) is a hazy DIPA with a huge dry hop of NZ and US hops. Nelson, Simcoe, Krush, and Peacherine combine for a super tropical punch. Reckless Wanderer (6.5% ABV) again combines US and NZ hops. This time, hand-selected Oregon Mosaic provide a base for Peacherine and Riwaka to shine.
Elusive have collaborated with Women in Beer (WiB) on Progress, a 4.5% ABV green-hopped golden ale. To make the beer, the brewery hosted an open brew day and welcomed female brewers and beer lovers from near and far.
“We used freshly harvested Progress hops from Hawkins Farm, in Ledbury, which were grown by female hop farmer Sarah Hawkins,” says the brewer. “Fresh Progress hops bring a delicate note of honey, herbaceous undertone, and a mild spice. The malt was kindly sponsored by the lovely folk at Simpsons Malt — we will be donating that saving plus some of the proceeds to WiB to help them continue their work supporting women in the industry.”
Hampshire-based Hydes Cyder is launching Hydes Spyced, a 3.4% ABV wild-fermented premium English cider with warming notes of cinnamon, creamy vanilla, and gingerbread. It is designed for both chilled and hot serves across the autumn and winter seasons. Cans debut on 1st October.
“There’s something wonderful about wrapping your hands around a steaming cup of spiced cider on a cold autumn or winter day,” said Lucy Lundberg, of Hydes Cyder. “It really is Christmas in a mug.”
To mark their first anniversary, Bearwood have released five collaboration beers. The line-up comprises: DIPA (8.4% ABV), with Azvex, hopped with Citra, Nectaron, Eggers Special, and Citra Hyperboost;a NEIPA (6.8% ABV), with Bracket, soft, hazy, and fruit forward, and packed with Superdelic, Mosaic, El Dorado, and Mosaic Hyperboost hops; a triple-dry-hopped IPA (5.8% ABV), with Pipeline, packed with Nelson Sauvin, Citra, and Mosaic; a mango, passionfruit, and banana sour (6% ABV), with Gravity Well; a bourbon and vanilla barrel-aged stout (12% ABV), with Emperor’s.
Beerhunter have launched their range of 2026 Advent calendars. There are world craft beer, alcohol-free beer, gluten-free beer, and mixed tipple variants.
