Electric Bear head brewer Ian Morris has raised nearly £7,000 for Animal Aid by taking a 10-country tour in a tuk tuk, a three-wheeled motorised rickshaw.

Ian (centre) and his wife, Jo, are met by Fedor Nikolashkin at Weyermann Speciality Malts, in Bamburg
He and his wife Jo, along with canine companion Kuba, whizzed through the countries — England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Czechia, Germany, and the Netherlands — in just 16 days.
They tried some beers along the way, of course, and they and the £3,475 they raised was doubled through match funding to £6,950.
Their 11th stop took them to Bamberg, the home of Weyermann Specialty Malts. Weyermann malts make up the entire malt bill for Mixtape, Electric Bear’s core Helles Lager.
Ian met the team and saw where the malt is made. It’s rare to have the opportunity to visit an international supplier, but that’s a tuk tuk tour bonus!
