Lost and Grounded Brewers have partnered with Co-op to launch Around the World with Lost and Grounded Brewers, an exclusive six-beer series celebrating lager styles from around the globe.

West Coast Style Pils

The first release, West Coast Style Pils (5.2%) brings the citrus and pine notes of American hops to a crisp Pilsner malt base. It is available now in 440ml cans in approximately 170 stores across the UK.

The project aims to broaden the conversation around lager and showcase the diversity and character of the world’s most popular beer style.

“Lager as a style is difficult to master, but we enjoy the challenge that comes from brewing this type of beer,” said Annie Clements, co-founder of Lost and Grounded Brewers. “Brewing lager is where we started our journey, and stands as a testament to the skill of our brewing team.

“We’re very excited to be partnering with Co-op to share our beer with a wider audience, helping people to discover the wonderful world of lager.”

Andrew Birdsey, Co-op’s senior buying manager for Beer, said: “We’re excited to bring this exclusive new range to our customers, and have loved working closely with the Lost and Grounded team, who are arguably the best lager brewery in the UK.

“The beauty of this project is its flexibility, bringing a consistent flow of fresh lagers to our shelves, while showcasing a whole world of flavours for our customers to enjoy.”

The project will showcase the rich brewing history of six different countries. There will be a new beer released every eight weeks, with styles inspired by the USA, New Zealand, Australia, Austria, Italy, and Germany.
