Brewlab, the specialist in brewing training and analysis, has announced its course programme for the next couple of months.

Brewlab training

In August, the three-week Certificate in Practical Brewing course is running on site. It’s ideal for anyone looking to set up a commercial brewery. After completing the course, they’ll gain the accredited Brewlab Certificate in Practical Brewing, and have a firm understanding of how to brew consistently high-quality beers and run their own operation. The course runs from 3rd to 21st August. Find out more here.

In September, the longest and most comprehensive training course returns. The Diploma in British and International Brewing Technology last for nine weeks — on this occasion from 7th September to 6th November — and runs just once a year. “With the help of our practical Diploma training, many of our graduates now operate their own successful breweries,” said Brewlab’s Richard Hunt. Find out more here.

Bewlab will also be running their Professional Flavour Evaluation masterclass in September. The one-day (22nd September) masterclass provides an introduction to basic techniques and terminologies, enabling staff to hone flavour identification skills and apply them to their quality assurance system. The workshop covers tasting procedures, beer flavour terminologies and recognition, beer profiling and style identification, fault identification, and taste panel operation. Sign up here.

Another popular one-day masterclass will be held the week after (29th September). Practical Yeast Management provides a deep dive into the subject and allows attendees to gain an understanding of how to work with liquid cultures in a brewery.
