Beer Today’s regular round-up of news in brief: new releases, venue openings, event announcements.

To mark their 15th anniversary, Vibrant Forest have released the first of four celebratory beers. Mooncross is a 6.2% ABV IPA. Expect a soft, hazy IPA, packed with juicy citrus and ripe tropical fruit from Mosaic and Strata, with Sabro bringing a subtle coconut finish. “Full-bodied, smooth, and seriously moreish,” says the brewer.

Twisted’s annual release of Nomad is here. The mellow 4.1% ABV pale ale has a base of Munich malt and is hopped with Mosaic.

Beak have collaborated with Future Brewing, in Sydney, on Sunrise, a 6.5% ABV IPA. Also involved were Barth Haas, who provided Australian Enigma and Galaxy hops. Expect a tropical punch with a dank hit of pine sap on the finish. Also new from Beak is Affine, an 8% ABV double IPA loaded with Mosaic, Columbus, and Motueka. “It’s big, dank, zesty, and resinous, with a super clean, refreshing edge that keeps us coming back for more,” says the brewer.
• Paddle is a crisp, easy-drinking 3.8% ABV pale ale from UnBarred. It delivers gentle waves of citrus and soft tropical fruit, balanced by a clean, refreshing bitterness. Expect juicy mango, pink grapefruit, papaya, and peach, from Idaho 7, Mosaic, and El Dorado hops. A delicate malt base keeps everything smooth and drinkable.

Neon Raptor have reached the letters J and K in their series of alphabetical 10th anniversary collaborations. J is for Joyfulness, a 3.4% ABV Belgian-style table beer using Simcoe and East Kent Goldings hops, aged in Jester King’s hop ageing barn. Expect citrus, light spice, and floral notes. K is for Knickknack, an 11.5% ABV chocolate hazel caramel fudge stout, created in collaboration with Kees.

Crisp, light and seriously refreshing is how Stewart Brewing describe their new margherita lager, Marga Larga (3.4% ABV). It brings together lime leaf, bright citrus zest, and a clean malt base, finished with a subtle pinch of salt for that sharp, thirst-quenching edge, says the brewer.

Bunta Beer has gained its first draught listing at The Latimer, a new neighbourhood pub in London. The Latimer, opening on Latimer Road, is a family-led pub and dining room from the Spiteri family, known for shaping some of London’s most influential restaurants. The venue brings together generations of hospitality experience.
