Releases round-up: Perivale, New Bristol, Indie Rabble, and more…

New beer launches and collaborations, in store, on bars, and online, from brewers around the UK

Perivale Golden Gruit

Golden Gruit (4.5% ABV) is a herbal golden ale from Perivale, full of foraged herbs. Mugwort and Yarrow were used in ancient gruit recipes. Perivale added hogweed seeds (very aromatic and spicy), some fennel seeds from plants found growing, a small amount of pineapple weed, and lemon balm for its fruity aroma. There’s also a new brew of Wild Green, a 4.5% ABV wild-hopped amber ale, which utilises hops foraged in Greenford by a group of loyal regulars.

New Bristol Garston Hops

New Bristol Brewery have collaborated with New Zealand’s Garston Hops on Weather With You, a 5% ABV NZ pale. “Garston Hops have been doing a tour of the UK and we had the pleasure of their company one day to brew a very special hazy pale using their delicious New Zealand hops,” says the brewer.

Indie Rabble Transparent Tech

Transparent Tech is a 5.4% ABV New England pale ale from Indie Rabble. It’s hopped with Amarillo, Citra, and Nelson Sauvin. Expect passionfruit, melon, gooseberry, and tropical flavours.

Track Fall

Fall (4.6% ABV) is the first of Track fresh hop releases. It’s a 4.6% ABV copper-coloured best bitter utilising Fuggle hops from Hukins Hops. Rich, biscuity malt sweetness is countered by herbal bitterness, while nettles and elderflower dominate the aroma.

Cloud themes for Verdant this week. They Went On Forever is a 6% ABV IPA hopped with Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin, and Galaxy. “A big, bold, pillowy cloud stretching across your palate like those childhood skies that seemed to go on forever,” says the brewer. Fruitiness, and dank and umami vibes. That’s the cirrus theme. Cumulus comes in the form of Nebulous Sky, an 8.4% ABV TDH DIPA hopped with Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin, and Galaxy.

Left Handed Simple Maths

Simple Maths (5.5% ABV), from Left Handed Giant, highlights new Australian hops. “Furthering our direct relationship with Ryefield Farms, in NSW, Beedleup and Azure are given a great chance to shine alongside Galaxy,” says the brewer. Expect notes of guava, sticky mango, and white peach.

Electric Bear Disco

If you were stranded on a desert island you’d need a great beer and a killer soundtrack, says Electric Bear. So they have come up with Desert Island Disco, a 3.4% ABV session pale. A juicy, easy drinking disco ball of orange squash, mango, and honeydew melon for a soft, refreshing finish. Oh, and there’s a playlist, too. Listen here.

Pomona Island Snowfall

Watch the Snowfall Forever and Ever (6.5% ABV) is a new S’mores stout from Pomona Island. With sweet vanilla on the nose, it drinks rich and sweet with toasty marshmallows, sticky dates, and hint of campfire smoke. Also new is Frills of St John, a 5% ABV pale. There are intense aromas of passionfruit. On the palate, there’s sweet berry notes with sticky pineapple and mango.
