A partnership between two East Anglian breweries has won the top accolade at this year’s Tastebuds Collaboration Awards. These recognise collaboration and innovation across the food and drink industry.

Boudicca Humber Doucy

Norfolk’s Boudicca Brewing Co and Suffolk’s Humber Doucy Brewing Co received the outstanding collaboration award for developing Celtic Crush, a 5.2% ABV strawberry saison. It celebrates East Anglian heritage, local ingredients, and innovative craft brewing.

Judges said the partnership not only created a distinctive new product, but also supported the relaunch of Boudicca Brewing Co. It strengthened regional business relationships and demonstrated how collaboration can drive growth, creativity, and lasting value within the independent brewing sector.

“I’m unbelievably chuffed and it’s totally unexpected,” said Emma Pinder, owner and director of Boudicca Brewing Co. “It’s been a pleasure to work with Humber Doucy. Our breweries both have historical names, and it’s a perfect partnership celebrating the two counties’ heritage.

“Humber Doucy is brewing our other traditional ales, and we came together to do something very new. It’s also going down really well, and it tastes delicious.”

John Ridealgh, co-founder of Humber Doucy Brewing Co, added: “It was a really natural collaborative effort, and great that it’s been recognised. Boudicca’s roots are in Norfolk and ours are in Suffolk, and that’s gone together really well.”
