Two big British beer brands have collaborated on Hops & Glory, a 4.2% ABV modern English pale ale, brewed using 100% British ingredients.

Hawkstone and Butcombe Brewing Co have united around a shared passion for British farming and brewing.

Brewed at Butcombe’s state-of-the-art brewery in Bristol, Hops & Glory will launch into the on-trade in time for Cask Ale Week, in September. It will be available for a three-month period until November.

Every cask of Hops & Glory sold will see £10 donated directly to UK hospitality and mental health charities the Licensed Trade Charity (LTC) and Shout.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with Hawkstone on this fantastic English ale, bringing our 48 years of cask brewing heritage together with their passion for Great British beer, and the farmers that produce the quality ingredients used to make it,” said Jayson Perfect, chief operating officer at Butcombe.

“Cask ale is the beating heart of the Great British pub, and Hops & Glory is a true celebration of that tradition, brewed with 100% British ingredients, and celebrating two vital British industries in farming and hospitality.

“Beyond delivering an exceptional, refreshing pale ale, this partnership is driven by a shared commitment to support these industries. We’re very pleased to donate a portion of all sales to LTC and Shout, as we actively invest in the people, hospitality businesses, and communities that keep our trade thriving.”

Andy Cross, sales director at Hawkstone, added: “At Hawkstone, we’re passionate about championing British farming, so releasing a cask collaboration using 100% British ingredients felt like a natural next step.

“Together with Butcombe, we’ve created a beer that celebrates the very best of British brewing while supporting the communities and industries at the heart of it.”
