Independent Brighton brewery Lost Pier Brewing is putting its critically acclaimed 0.5% Nitro Stout in the spotlight this winter.

Lost Pier Nitro Stout

It offers dark beer fans and mindful drinkers a decadent option to enjoy in bars or at home throughout Christmas and Dry January, says the brewer.

At the World Alcohol Free Awards this year, judges described the beer as a “quaffable and dry dark beer with a soft white head, light body, and malty nose, with toasted and treacle notes on the palate”.

Available in 440ml cans with an internal nitrogen widget (a rarity among independent craft breweries), the beer surges on opening to create a cloud-like head and a silky mouthfeel. Delivering gentle chocolate layers, soft roasty malts, and a creamy finish, it is intended to be a sumptuous stout, perfect for cosy nights in the pub, and festive celebrations with family and friends.

“Brewing an alcohol-free nitro stout was a challenge we were excited to take on,” said Lost Pier Brewing co-founder and director Dan Gale. “We knew it had to deliver the rich, full flavour, and smooth, creamy pour people expect from a great stout, and that gave us the focus to get every detail right.

“The result is a luxurious beer with a velvety texture and indulgent character that feels especially at home during the festive season. As an independently brewed alternative, it gives people something distinctive to enjoy and share, whether they’re drinking alcohol or not.”
