Air ambulance benefits from fundraising cider

Purbeck Cider have celebrated British Cider Week with their new People’s Choice Charity Cider, created working with their community.

Purbeck People's Choice

The initiative started with Purbeck’s first community Apple Day, in September last year, when more than 95 people exchanged their apples and pears at the farm.

As well as fruit, the public provided charity suggestions and the shortlist was put to the vote. For every litre sold, £1 would be donated to this year’s chosen charity: Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

“This initiative is a real celebration of community spirit, from the apples donated at Apple Day to the funds raised for our life‑saving charity through every sale of this special cider,” said Erika Singh, corporate partnerships lead at Devon and Somerset Air Ambulance.

“We would like to thank everyone who voted for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, as well as Purbeck Cider for creating such a fantastic opportunity. Support like this enables our crew to save lives across Dorset, Somerset and beyond.”

The People’s Choice (4.6% ABV) is a light, crisp, medium sweet still cider, with delicate floral aromas and a touch of citrus. Crafted from 100% single-pressed local community-grown apples, it offers a refreshing balanced taste with a clean finish.
