A West Coast IPA with a London accent

Fuller’s Pub Company and independent brewer Jiddler’s Tipple have unveiled London Tipple, a 4.1% ABV West Coast IPA developed collaboratively over 15 months.

London Tipple

The beer takes inspiration from the rich malt character of classic London cask beer, but with a modern West Coast spin. Cascade, Centennial, and Amarillo hops bring zesty grapefruit, pine, and resinous notes, balanced by caramel malt flavours and a clean, refreshing bitterness.

London Tipple is both vegan and gluten free and will be available on cask in more than 70 Fuller’s pubs from tomorrow (15th October). It will also be available to pubs and venues further afield through Jiddler’s Tipple, Dayla, and Small Beer Wholesale.

“Cask beer is one of Britain’s great traditions, and it’s brilliant to see a new generation of drinkers beginning to discover it,” said Jacob Liddle, founder of Jiddler’s Tipple. “We wanted to combine the heritage and malt character of London cask beer with everything we love about a modern West Coast IPA.

“London Tipple is full of grapefruit, pine, and resinous hop character, with a crisp finish and a moreish bitterness. It’s refreshing, sessionable, and packed with flavour.”

James O’Connell, head of on-trade at Jiddler’s Tipple, added: “We’ve seen that when pubs offer exciting, modern styles of cask beer, they connect with drinkers who might not previously have considered ordering a pint of real ale.

“Releasing beers like London Tipple on cask gives modern craft drinkers a fresh reason to explore the category. You can expect to see plenty more accessible, hop-forward cask beers from us in the future.”
