We’re hiring a Warehouse Operator!

Full job description

Rye River Brewing Company, one of Ireland’s leading and most influential independent breweries, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operator to join our team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic brewery and help drive improved warehouse efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

· Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging materials, and equipment and verify their accuracy

· Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all required documentation is included

· Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently

· Facilitate cover for local or Dublin city centre deliveries in peak periods

· Accurately pick and prepare customer orders according to pick sheet

· Ensure the correct quantities and products are selected for each order

· Use warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking

· Prepare and assemble orders for production, ensuring timely delivery of materials to the brewing and packaging teams

· Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely and accurate delivery

· Rotate stock to ensure the first-in, first-out (FIFO) principle is followed

· Report discrepancies or issues with inventory levels promptly and assist in cycle counts

· Keep the warehouse clean and organised

· Collaborate with production and quality control teams to maintain an organised and efficient workflow

· Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment

· Inspect products for damage or defects before packing and dispatching

· Follow quality control procedures to maintain the highest product quality

· Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

· Comply with brewery policies and procedures

· Work on a weekly alternating shift pattern, 6am-2pm and 10am to 6pm

Key Skills

3+ years warehouse experience essential with extensive driving experience

Must have a valid reach and counterbalance license (Applicant without this will not be considered)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication skills.

Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
