The Metropolitan Pub Company is partnering with More Curricular CIC to host a series of events celebrating the 60th anniversary of Notting Hill Carnival.

Carnival 60 rum

The events will highlight the role pubs can play in bringing people together around shared cultural experiences and local heritage.

Taking place across The Ladbroke Arms, The Mitre, and The Prince Bonaparte throughout August, the programme forms part of Carnival 60, a six-month heritage initiative raising awareness of the origins, history, and lasting cultural impact of Notting Hill Carnival.

Developed in partnership with Yvette Reinfor, founder and director of More Curricular CIC, the events combine discussion, storytelling, music, food, and drink experiences to create new ways for people to engage with one of London’s most significant cultural celebrations.

Find out about events here.

“Carnival 60 is an opportunity to celebrate the people, places, and stories that have shaped Notting Hill Carnival over six decades,” said Reinfor. “By partnering with Metropolitan Pub Company, we’re able to bring those stories to wider audiences in our community, where people can learn more about the heritage and cultural significance of Carnival.”
