Celebrating the newcomers, innovators, and leaders shaping the future of the beer industry, the two-day gathering combines networking, professional development, and recognising the women who make a difference.
The events form part of the Women in Beer Festival, from 20th to 24th October. The launch event, on the Tuesday, includes the second Women in Beer Awards ceremony from 6.30 to 10pm.
The next day, the Women in Beer Seminar takes place, presented in partnership with the British Beer & Pub Association (BBPA). Seminar panels and talks include:
- Creating a Community: How to make an event or beer space unmissable
- Silencing the Doubt: Overcoming imposter syndrome to help to achieve your goals
- Real-World Impacts: How climate change is reshaping beer and brewing
“I couldn’t be prouder to be a sponsor of the Women in Beer Awards as well as the Women in Beer Seminar,” said Emma McClarkin, chief executive of the BBPA. “Women were the original brewers and today they make up half of the sector’s workforce, so it’s only right they are recognised and celebrated.
“These awards will shine a much-needed light on those who are improving and evolving our sector. And furthermore, the seminar offers an important opportunity to support career progression and foster connections for the impressive women who enrich the beer and pub sector.”
