71 Brewing have revised their core range, bringing together the cans the brewer is most excited about right now, from clean, crisp classics, to hazy favourites, bold hops and bigger flavour. The new line-up comprises:

- 71 Lager (4.4% ABV): Crisp, golden, and refreshing.
- Haze Halo (5% ABV): Award-winning, hazy, and packed with tropical fruit flavour.
- Cloud Fall (4.5% ABV): Hoppy, tropical, and bright. A fresh pale ale.
- Rollin Coaster (7.4% ABV): A bigger, bolder DIPA with plenty of hop character.
- Highline Haze (3.8% ABV): Sessionable, peachy, and smooth with a bright tropical lift.
- Heavy Lifting (3.9% ABV): A full-flavoured addition to the line-up, with proper body and balance.
• Stephen Gould, deputy chairman of Everards brewery, has been elected as Master of the Worshipful Company of Brewers, replacing Fergus McMullen. The following elections were also made: upper warden, Torquil Sligo-Young, non-executive director, Young’s; middle warden, Victoria Segebarth, managing director (EMEAA), Asahi; and renter warden, James Clarke, managing director, Hook Norton Brewery.
• Boobytrap have joined forces with Mexican brewer Guillermo Alvarez S to brew a fresh Belgian-style Wit beer. It will be available in time for Belgian Beer Week in August. The beer is called Vito, named after Guillermo’s Italian pizza-making friend from Bath, who used to serve pop-up pizzas at the brewery Guillermo ran. Belgian wit was Vito’s favourite beer.

St Austell Brewery has raised £10,000 following a successful charity golf day attended by customers, suppliers and partners from across the South West. The funds will support Children’s Hospice South West, which has been selected by the St Austell Brewery Charitable Trust as its charity of the year.
“Bringing together our customers, suppliers, and colleagues was a brilliant way to support an incredible charity that makes a real difference in the South West,” said Dan Crabb, sales director at St Austell Brewery. “We’d like to thank everyone who took part and showed such generous support throughout the day.”

Chouffe has expanded its UK retail range with the launch of Chouffe Framboise in Waitrose stores. The 7% ABV beer combines the classic character of its original brew, La Chouffe, with the vibrant flavour of raspberries. “Consumers are increasingly looking for beers that deliver flavour, authenticity, and a sense of adventure,” said Martin Lockley, national account controller at brand owner Duvel Moortgat UK. “Chouffe Framboise brings all of those elements together.”
• Greene King are closing the Billesley pub, in Kings Heath, Birmingham. The pub — where a number of community groups regularly meet — had been due to close temporarily this month for refurbishment, but a decision has now been taken to make the closure permanent.
• Retailer Holland & Barrett opened a pop-up pub in London for two days last week. The Wellness Tap was in Clerkenwell, offering free ‘hydration pints’, as well as expert advice and wellness products. There were also pub quizzes and DJ sets.
