Assistant Brewer and Packaging Operative

HOPE Beer are hiring an Assistant Brewer and Packaging Operative!

• HOPE Beer are looking for a versatile person who is eager to learn all there is about Craft beer.

Responsibilities and duties include

• Assisting with Brewing, fermentation, conditioning, transfers as directed by the Brewers
• Kegging, Bottling, Canning, labelling, packaging as directed by the Brewers.
• Keg washing and CIP of Brewery and Fermentation tanks
• Cleaning of Brewery and warehouse as directed by the Brewers
• Maintaining and organising the warehouse
• Assist the team in putting together craft beer recipes
• Helping out at Craft beer festivals
• Deliveries as directed by the Sales Team when required
• Other as required in any small team

The above list is not exhaustive, and you will be expected to be flexible in the role and carry out alternative tasks as reasonably required by the Company.

What do we ideally want

• Passionate about Craft beer
• (Home) Brewing experience is a plus
• Able to drive a forklift, training arranged if required
• Good fit to the team
• Physically able to lift 25kg bags of malt and repetitive lifting of up to 15Kg cases of beer
• Hands on flexible person
• Able to deal with the diversity of the job
• Organizational skills, methodical, punctual, attention to detail
• Full Driver’s License is a plus
• Energy and enthusiasm
