Damm UK is launching an alcohol-free variant of the Old Speckled Hen brand, which it recently acquired from Greene King.

Old Speckled Hen Zero

Offering the beer’s signature malty taste with hints of caramel and fruit, it is not only alcohol free, but contains fewer calories at just 12kcal per 100ml.

“We know that consumer drinking behaviour is now tailored around occasions, and the launch of Old Speckled Hen ZERO reflects that,” said Luke White, managing director of Damm UK.

“Whatever the reason for moderating, we believe that this 0.0% traditional ale is going to become a national favourite.”

The beer has launched now in a four-pack 400ml can format at selected Morrisons stores and on their website. Cans and 500ml bottles will be rolled out to Asda online and stores later this month. Meanwhile, the new product will be available soon across Greene King pubs nationally, among other venues.
