Damian Guha has been named as the new chief executive of Northern Monk, founder Russell Bisset has announced.

Bisset stepped back into the managing director’s role in 2023, and since then the company has seen 40% top-line growth. It has also reduced debt by £1.4m, become a certified B Corp and real living wage employer, and donated more than £150,000 to community projects across the North.
Bisset said: “Over the last two years, my focus has been stabilising the business, diversifying our channel mix through new bars and our partnership with Damm UK, and evolving the brand to feel more future-proof, inclusive, and aligned with our values.
“With that foundation now in place, I believe complementary leadership gives us the best opportunity to realise the ambition we have for Northern Monk in the next decade. So, as we enter this next phase, I’m delighted that Damian Guha has accepted the role of CEO at Northern Monk.”
He added: “Damian brings deep FMCG and consumer brand experience, alongside a curious, collaborative leadership style, with a strong belief in empowered teams, clarity of purpose, and focused execution.
“I remain just as involved and deeply committed to Northern Monk, our mission, and the people behind it. What started 13 years ago with £5k from my gran, a vision, and a lot of Faith, still feels like one of the great privileges of my life.”
