With all the many gifts you can give this Christmas, and when you can say it with anything, why not say it with beer and cheer. Our beers are naturally bottle conditioned, unfiltered, never pasteurised and always independent. Black Donkey Brewing is Roscommon’s only brewery, located in beautiful Ballinlough, on the shores of Lake O’Flynn in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands. Since 2014, we’ve been brewing multi award winning, 100% natural beers. You can source our individual beers from many of the countries offlicences and on draught in some pubs around Ireland.

Gifts Under €10
If you are on a strict budget for secret santa at work or have a lot to tick off your list, then our our gifts under a tenner will be the perfect choice.
1. Pint Glass €5.50
Does the right glass make a difference to the flavour and aroma of your beer? We’re not entirely sure, (and we’ve drained enough of them to constitute a pretty comprehensive study!) but a clean one certainly does. Our Black Donkey screen printed “Aspen” pint glass will make sure that whoever loads the dishwasher knows that this glass is for beer and hand-washing only. The chemical residues left behind by modern dishwashers will ruin the head retention of a beer, and make your glass of finely crafted malty deliciousness look like a glass of soda, yuck! Traces of fats left behind, for example from milk, will have the same effect, so for best results, reserve this crystalline beauty for beer only. Wash by hand in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and you can enjoy pint after pint of fresh, frothy craft over Christmas holidays.

5. Vertical Integration Taste Experience €18.80

The Vertical Integration Taste Experience box features three very different beers, all of which started out with essentially the same malt recipe. The differences in these beers are the result of different yeasts and fermentation practices, and different conditioning or lagering techniques. We invite you to discover these unique flavours for yourself through a staged tasting. Welcome to flavour country!
The experience includes:
Western Warrior – Our small-batch, micro-brewed, all-natural lager (4.2% ABV)
Sheep Stealer – Our first brew and the original Irish Farmhouse Ale (5.6%).
Sergeant Jimmy – Our 2022 Saison which has been conditioned in Irish whiskey barrels (7.5-8.5%)
6. Black Donkey Brewery T-Shirts €18.95
For the Beer t-shirt afficionado, our Black Donkey Brewery printed t-shirt in Mens and Womens will definitely tick the box. These t-shirt’s softness and comfort hide their true hard wearing nature. 10. Black Donkey Underworld Beer Collection €25.00+
The Black Donkey Underworld Beer Collection* offers the chance of double sips of our native Irish beers! Originally released in 2018, the beers were fermented with a wild native yeast. It was harvested from Oweynagat cave in Co. Roscommon. The yeast was called Morrigan 1 after the legendary shapeshifting warrior goddess who once inhabited the cave.
