After three days of judging, the winners of the International Brewing and Cider Awards — the ‘Oscars of brewing and cider’ — have been announced.

The winners were revealed this afternoon at a trade event organised by the BFBi. Hosted at Victoria Warehouse, in Manchester, it has brought together the most renowned brewers, cidermakers, buyers, and industry professionals for a day of networking, tasting, and celebration.

The panel of expert judges, all of whom are commercially practising brewers and cidermakers, was tasked with increasing the level of feedback from a production and commercial perspective, providing entrants with a better tasting panel experience.

“Our international panel of brewers and cider makers have judged a fantastic array of beers and ciders from around the world,” said Ruth Evans MBE, chief executive of the BFBi and director of the awards.

“The results reflect the quality of entries this year, ensuring a high level of debate amongst the judges, debate being at the core of our judging process.”

All the winners will be invited to an exclusive awards ceremony and reception at The Guildhall in London in May to receive their medals and trophies.

In the meantime, the brewing medal winners can be viewed here and the cider medal winners here.
