Independent Spanish brewery Estrella Galicia has announced a two-year partnership with one of Britain’s most celebrated, Michelin starred seafood chefs, Nathan Outlaw.

Estrella Galicia Nathan Outlaw

While separated by hundreds of miles, Galicia, in north-west Spain, and Cornwall share more than dramatic coastlines. Both are places where life is shaped by the Atlantic Ocean, where respect for the sea runs deep, and where gathering around good food and drink is simply part of everyday life. It’s this shared outlook that brings the brewer and chef together.

For more than 120 years, Estrella Galicia has brewed its beer in Galicia using traditional methods, with a commitment to doing things properly, never rushing the process. Outlaw has built his reputation in much the same way, championing exceptional seafood, treating outstanding ingredients with care, and proving that simplicity, when done well, is often most rewarding.

Throughout the partnership, Outlaw will work alongside Estrella Galicia across events, collaborations, and trade activity. He said: “The connection between Cornwall and Galicia felt completely natural from the very beginning. Both places have an enormous respect for the sea and for the people who produce incredible ingredients. That’s always been at the heart of how I cook.

“What I admire about Estrella Galicia is that same commitment to doing things properly. They’ve never lost sight of where they come from or the importance of quality, patience, and authenticity. It feels like a genuine partnership built on shared values rather than simply shared products, and I’m excited to bring those stories to life together.”

Leonora Mellish, marketing manager at Estrella Galicia, said: “Although we’re separated by the Bay of Biscay, Galicia and Cornwall feel remarkably similar. Both are proud coastal communities shaped by the Atlantic, where people understand the value of craftsmanship, local produce, and taking time around the table.

“We’re incredibly proud to welcome Nathan into the Estrella Galicia family and look forward to celebrating that shared Atlantic way of life together.”
