Thanks to the team at Blas nah Éireann 2024 for the invite to sit on the panel to discuss Green Business: Sustainability in Action.  Bill Sheppard of Tom Crean Brewery Kenmare shares practical insights on implementing sustainable production practices. The panel also included Lucy Ryan from the Bank of Ireland, Derek Reilly representing NEVO and Fiona Twomey from Bord Bia, the host was Caroline Hennessey.

Bill was keen to explain about some of our efforts to produce good beer sustainably, in fact a pint that doesn’t cost the earth!  Given the opportunity he would explain many of the initiatives that Tom Crean Brewery Kenmare had introduced to mitigate their impact on the climate whilst still producing award winning beer. However, as there were three others on the panel who were equally passionate about their subject matter it fell to Caroline to ensure everyone had a fair amount of time to speak.  Nonetheless a very worthwhile opportunity to engage with other small business owners and their efforts to work towards a Green Business: Sustainability in Action.
