We have a couple of old favourites and a couple of new releases hitting the shelves in time for the May Bank Holiday weekend…

Firstly, we’ve a fresh batch of Mourne Gold already making its’ way out and about across NI thanks to Nelson Sauvin. We brewed a small batch back in February and it didn’t last long, so we’ve increased the volume this time with the aim of keeping more regular stocks on the shelf. Gold is our bright, traditional style Pale Ale with a wonderful balance of malt and hops, and a gentle bitterness.

Also packaged last week is a new 4.5%abv hazy New England style Pale Ale called Class Distinction. Dry hopped with Mosaic, Amarillo and Cashmere, this is a juicy pale at a sensible strength, perfect for the bank holiday weekend. Class Distinction is also a 4a grade climb on Pigeon Rock.

We have two more beers releasing next week. Our super-pale American IPA, Ott, makes its’ seventh outing, this time dry hopped with Citra, Centennial and Cascade so as usual you can expect a mix of fruity hop juice with some dank and resinous edges, rounded out with an assertive bitterness.

We’re also releasing a new German Helles style lager, Summit. This is a development of our popular Hypothesis recipe from last year, taking our beautifully soft Mourne water and adding a little extra maltiness from the Dark Munich malt and a little extra herbal, floral hoppiness from some very nice 2020 crop German Mittelfruh whole leaf hops. At 4.4%abv it’s a bright, clean and sessionable spring-time brew. Summit refers to the summit climb on Slieve Binnian – not the US hop variety of the same name – and this is reflected in Gareth’s superb daybreak photo on the label.

All the new beers are on the website now. You can mix-and-match the beers in your choice of 4-packs; grab a 12-pack (and an automatic 10% discount on RRP); or stock up properly for the long weekend with a mixed pack of some delicious beers. Order before 9am Thursday 29th April for chilled delivery in time for the weekend (NI and ROI excluding Donegal only).

If you subscribe to our mailing list and haven’t already done so, there’s still time to use your exclusive discount code this month. And if you’re not a subscriber yet, sign up on our homepage to ensure you get the latest news, exclusive discounts and a chance to win a £50 discount code for our shop.

You’ll find our current range in all the good independent bottle shops across NI. If you’re in the trade and you’d like to stock our beers in Northern Ireland, let us know and we can put you in touch with our distributor, Nelson Sauvin. In Scotland, Paul at Dalriada Imports has taken a fresh pallet of stock this week. And in GB please contact Sue Hayward who can give you the lowdown on the current range as well as shipping options for bottle shops.
