Beer lovers and music fans are being invited to turn their sheds, gardens, home bars, and kitchens into festival venues this weekend as ShedFest returns.

Shedfest

The virtual beer and music festival, organised by Sheffield-based beer-themed online station Ale & Radio, runs from Friday to Sunday. There will be live-recorded music, beer-related content, and contributions from the pub shed and home-bar community

Independent breweries and beer businesses are at the heart of the event, with a series of sponsored virtual stages. Abbeydale Brewery’s Sheffield Stage celebrates the brewery’s home city, while Aitcheson’s Brick Shed Brewery sponsors the Shedliners Saturday Stage. Other stages include the Craftonbury Stage, from Beyond Belief Brewing, the Friday Night Shedliners Stage, from The Commercial, the Brit Hops Stage from Wonderwall Beer, and The Shed That Rocked Stage from Foxcubbrewing.

Abbeydale has produced an exclusive ShedFest beer box containing 12 different beers. The box is entirely gluten free and comes with official ShedFest merchandise, including a poster, stickers, and wristbands. Foxcubbrewing is bringing Tropic Haze and Solaris, while ShedFest sponsors are offering special deals and discounts through the event’s website.

ShedFest grew out of the community surrounding Ale & Audio, a beer and music podcast presented from a pub shed in Sheffield. Its sister station, Ale & Radio, broadcasts 24 hours a day and combines music with beer news, reviews, interviews, festival coverage, and listener-generated content, with a particular focus on independent breweries and the wider beer community.
