There’s a new beer from Natural Selection Brewing, a partnership between Stewart Brewing and Heriot-Watt University, both in Edinburgh.

Each year, four MSc students are selected to bring a beer to life, handling everything from recipe development and brewing to branding, sales, and launch events.
Over the last 15 years, the project has helped to launch the careers of brewers and distillers now working at some of the UK’s top breweries and distilleries.
This year’s beer is Alba Wild (3.9% ABV), a bright and refreshing Scottish pale ale inspired by local botanicals and the landscapes that surround the brewers.
There’s bright citrus notes and subtle floral character. Heather and chamomile bring delicate aromas, while coriander adds a crisp finish, creating a beer designed for long summer evenings and easy drinking.
This year’s striking artwork was created by Scottish artist KMG, whose work draws inspiration from Celtic folklore and the stories that have shaped Scotland’s cultural identity.
