Rye River Brewing Company, one of Ireland’s leading and most influential independent craft breweries, is seeking a Production Operator to join our team. We plan to expand our team to put more focus on the increased level of automation we will be incorporating and help drive improved production efficiencies while maintaining our high product standard. This candidate needs to be self-motivated, fast-paced, and willing to work in a cycle-shift environment that adapts to changes, challenges and opportunities as they manifest daily as part of the exciting Craft beer culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run and monitor packaging on our bottle, keg and can filling lines.
  • Conduct quality checks on packaging materials, labels, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Keep packaging areas clean and sanitized to meet company standards and maintain product integrity.
  • Follow proper cleaning procedures for equipment and work areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of production and packaging activities, including batch numbers, quantities, waste and any issues encountered during the packaging process.
  • Coordinate with other depts to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging materials, and equipment and verify their accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Troubleshoot and address any mechanical or technical issues with packaging equipment.
  • Work towards meeting daily, weekly, and monthly production targets set by the brewery.
  • Adjust packaging processes as necessary to accommodate changes in production requirements.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • 1+ years experience operating a packaging line, preferably in a brewing environment.
  • Basic understanding of the mechanical components of packaging equipment.
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to assist others and work towards common production goals.
  • Competence in using computer systems for data entry and production tracking.
  • Forklift licence desirable.
