The Guild of Beer Sommeliers has welcomed two new members, who have completed the organisation’s rigorous exam.

Richard Dean, from the Rick Dean Beer and Spirits Consultancy, and Timothy Hughes, from Cheshire Cat Pubs and Inns, follow Daisy Turnell, featured on Beer Today last week, into the Guild.
They displayed their proficiency by accurately identifying a diverse range of beer styles in a blind tasting examination. The assessment also evaluated their knowledge of brewing techniques, recommending appropriate beer and food pairings, and the correct identification of off-flavours.
“We are delighted to congratulate all three candidates and recognise for their hard work and dedication,” said Alex Barlow, chief examiner for The Guild of Beer Sommeliers. “Passing the beer sommelier exam is a significant achievement, and our new beer sommeliers have proved themselves to be expert beer connoisseurs.”
