The Ferryman’s back, with a sour cherry sidekick

Verdant’s winter imperial stout, Don’t Fear The Ferryman, is back, but this time it comes with a fruity variant, featuring a sour cherry twist.

Verdant Ferryman

The original is a 10% ABV jet black beer with aromas of dark fruits and smooth caramel. A soft, sweet, and silky mouthfeel leads to hints of burnt biscuits, raisin notes, and subtle coffee, ending in a bitter, dark, chocolaty finish.

“Inspired by our friends at The Kernel and their beautiful Export Stout Sour Cherry, we’ve created our own decadent take on the style,” says the brewer.

They added a sour cherry puree to the Ferryman base to create Don’t Fear The Cherryman.

“The delicious notes of sour cherries cut through the big maltiness, making this a pure Black Forest gateau in liquid form!” add Verdant.
