The Don is added to Verdant’s Sharks range

It started years ago with Even Sharks Need Water, which went on to become something of a cult classic IPA for the then quite young Verdant Brewing Co.

Since then, more sharks have circled — Whale Sharks in 2022, and Baby Sharks in 2024 — and now a new brew has been added to the gang.

The Don is a 10% ABV triple IPA inspired by the mighty, mysterious Megalodon. This gigantic prehistoric shark is estimated to have had the strongest bite of any known animal.

The beer is thick, creamy, hoppy, and intense. It has a 30g per litre dry-hop rate, that hop bill including masses of Galaxy and Citra.

Even Sharks Need Water was Verdant’s first New England-style beer, making its debut at the much-missed Indy Man Beer Con, in Manchester. Back then, it sat alongside core beers Headband, Bloom, and Pulp, and UTO,a black IPA brewed in collaboration with Howling Hops.
