Bluntrock Brewery have released a new pale ale to tie in with the staging of their first ever golf competition, in Cornwall this weekend.

The Golf Beer Cup will take place at The Point, Polzeath, on Saturday (20th September). It will be a four-ball stableford competition. The lowest two scores out of four players’ scores will be taken as a team’s score.
Teams will be made up of four players, costing £25 per head. They’ll earn a free pint at the end of their round, and there are prizes for the top three teams. Proceeds will go to Polzeath Surf Life Saving Club. The will conclude with an evening party.
“This is a ‘for fun’ event,” say Bluntrock, “so even if you are inexperienced with a golf ball, please do join in — it’s a great opportunity to complete nine holes and have some beers.”
To tie in with the match, the brewer has released Golf Beer, a 4% ABV pale ale. It will be pouring at The Point, along with one or two stations around the course.
