From the editor: Many celebrity beer collabs don’t make it past their first run. As the celebrity or musician loses interest in the project, so do the fans. In the case of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull IPA, the power of this beer has stood the test of time, much like the West Coast IPA style. It’s a classic and is going nowhere. Steve Austin and El Segundo are celebrating this milestone and creating craft beer history with the release of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull 10th Anniversary IPA. Find out the when and where by reading the press release.

(El Segundo, CA) – A decade after raising its first pint in celebration of “the best damn beer in America,” El Segundo Brewing Company (ESBC) is marking the 10th anniversary of Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Beer brand with a new limited-release 10th Anniversary IPA, on November 15, 2025.

Steve Austin's Broken Skull 10th Anniversary IPA

Launched in 2015 in collaboration with WWE legend and Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Broken Skull IPA quickly became one of the most recognizable craft beers in America, a symbol of independence, grit, and flavor that refuses to fade. Ten years later, the brand’s staying power speaks for itself, remaining a fan favorite of everyone from wrestling fans to craft beer enthusiasts across the country.

“When we brewed that first batch with Steve, none of us could have guessed it would take on a life of its own,” said Rob Croxall, Founder of El Segundo Brewing Company. “Ten years later, Broken Skull isn’t just a beer, it’s a statement. It’s about doing things your way, and doing them right.”

The Broken Skull Beer brand has experienced significant growth in popularity that accelerated on July 22, 2019 when Steve appeared in the ring with Broken Skull IPA cans on the Monday Night RaW Reunion show. Since then, the Broken Skull brand has transitioned from a limited bomber IPA release throughout southern California to having both Broken Skull IPA and American Lager cans widely distributed in over 30 states and 3 countries. Broken Skull made a very successful appearance as a featured beer in SoFi stadium for WrestleMania 39, outselling every other beer brand available that weekend.

The 10th Anniversary IPA is a celebration of that legacy, a bigger, bolder take on the iconic Broken Skull profile. Brewed with a new blend of hops and packed with bright citrus, tropical fruit, and a punch of West Coast bitterness, this commemorative release honors where it all started while looking toward what’s next.

“It’s been ten damn years, and we’re still raising hell,” said Steve Austin. “Broken Skull started as a dream to make the perfect IPA, and thanks to El Segundo, the fans, and every beer drinker who’s supported us, we’ve done just that. Swig of beer to the next round!”

Steve had many opportunities to create a beer with the bigger beer brands with distribution available in every corner of the US, but that’s not what he was looking for. “Steve wasn’t interested in slapping his name on a mass-produced product. He wanted to keep it small and authentic, and he loved the beers we were brewing,” said Rob Croxall. “He knows what he wants and is very much involved with creating a high-quality beer he loves, it honestly makes the process more fun because it’s a true collaboration.”

The Broken Skull 10th Anniversary IPA will be a one-off beer available in the ESBC taproom on November 15 and in limited distribution at select Southern CA craft beer retailers, bars, and restaurants the following week.

About El Segundo Brewing Company: Founded in 2011, El Segundo Brewing Company is an independent craft brewery based in El Segundo, California, known for its unapologetically hoppy, West Coast-style beers. With a passion for quality and community, ESBC continues to push the boundaries of flavor while staying true to what made craft beer great in the first place.
