Scientific process behind new lager ‘turbo-charges yeast’

Distributor Love Drinks is launching a new British beer, Roley’s Super Natural Lager, which contains B vitamins, has no sugar, and is low in carbs.

Super Natural Yeast

Roley’s uses a secret scientific process and all-natural ingredients to create what it calls a Super Natural Elixir. It removes sugars from the lager, lowers carbs, and retains B3, B5, B6, and B9 vitamins. These vitamins can reduce inflammation and help to support energy, cognitive function, and metabolism.

The lager, which has just 89 calories per 330ml — 38.5% fewer than a standard 4.4% ABV — has been developed by entrepreneur Stewart Rowley, using Sheffield Hallam University’s microbiology team and laboratories.

“It’s been an incredible journey to this point and I’m thrilled to launch Roley’s Super Natural Lager for the coming summer,” he said.

Brewed sustainably at Kirkby Lonsdale, the Super Natural Elixir has the effect of turbo-charging the yeast. This reduces the brewing time from weeks to hours. This significantly reduces the environmental impact of an extended fermentation period.

“We were immediately blown away by Roley’s, not just by the drinking quality of the Super Natural Lager, but by the technology, the team behind the brand, and the incredible added value the beer offers to drinkers,” said Samantha Burke, managing director of Love Drinks. “As UK consumers continue to be more health conscious, we sincerely believe Roley’s can be a major disruptor and game changer in beer and beyond.”
