Beer Today’s regular round-up of news in brief: new releases, venue openings, event announcements.

There’s a change of venue for the Bearwood Brewing pop-up taproom, mentioned previously. It will now be at the Outhouse Brewery, between noon and 6pm, on Saturday (28th March). The address is Unit 4 Southgate House, Alexandra Court, Wokingham RG40 2SL.

Burning Sky Westwell Wines

Last year, Burning Sky embarked on another project with Westwell Wines, continuing to explore how mixed fermentation beer and modern wine compliment each other.

“Whilst Westwell was in the throes of a busy harvest, we collected fresh, lightly pressed Ortega and Pinot Meunier grape skins from them,” says the brewer. “Still full of flavour, juice, and other general yumminess, we married them with a selection of mixed fermentation beers from our barrel ageing facility.”

The results are Parcelle Rouge and Parcelle Blanc, both 5.8% ABV and packaged in 750ml bottles. The red offers aromas of strawberries and dark currants, with some gentle tannins on the finish. The white has aromas of pear, apricot, and honey. It’s soft on the palate, crisp and refreshing.

DEYA Kind of Blue

Kind of Brew is a cleverly-named collaboration between DEYA and Cheltenham Jazz Festival, for whom DEYA are the official beer partner. It’s a soft hazy pale ale hopped with Nectaron, Citra, and Simcoe. Expect lashings of ripe peach, tropical fruit, and soft lime.

• Brewery tours are returning to Moorhouse’s Brewery. The next tour will be on Friday, 10th April, costing £18. Find out more here.

Northern Monk Happy Collider

Happy Collider is the latest in Northern Monk’s Patrons Project series, a collaboration with artist Tula Lotay. The 6.4% ABV fruited smoothie IPA has a balance of juicy strawberry and tangy blueberry, in a deep red-purple hue.

Our oat-heavy base has been topped off with milk sugar to guarantee a milkshake mouthfeel. Hopped with US Mosaic and French Barbe Rouge, both of these bring their own berry notes to the beer. It is finished with a touch of Mosaic for a hint of the tropical.

Left Handed Untold Reserve

Left Handed Giant’s first consignment of 2025 Krush hops features in their new IPA, Untold Resolve, along with El Dorado and Citra. Expect notes of lychee, pineapple, and Commice pear in the 6.5% ABV brew.

Also new this week is Wall of Noise, a 5.5% ABV DDH pale, hopped with Cascade, Citra, and Mosaic. “A full-bodied, satisfying pale, replete with oats, spelt, and a generous dry-hop to maximise aroma and texture,” says the brewer.

Electric Bear Lore

Lore Galore (5.2% ABV) is a new pale ale from Electric Bear. Pouring bright gold, it hits you with juicy tinned peaches, soft wild honey florals, and a sharp flick of lemon zest, all riding a smooth, silky malt base.

New Bristol King Sesh

King of Sesh (8% ABV) is a double IPA version of New Bristol’s Joy of Sesh IPA. “Bigger, bolder, and juicier,” it’s hopped with Citra, Mosaic, and Amarillo.

Indie Rabble Walkie Talkie

Walkie Talkie is a new American pale ale from Indie Rabble. Hopped with Columbus, Centennial, and Amarillo, it’s described as zesty and lightly spiced.
