Beer Today’s rundown of new brews, brewing projects, and collaborations, in a slightly longer form than the home page news in brief

Burning Sky have been experimenting with new hop products and techniques, and the result is two special new beers.
Inspiration (4.8% ABV) is a West Coast pale with a modern “no coast twist”. A lean malt bill allows the hops to shine. Citra and Chinook on the hot side, hop-dipped with Citra Dynaboost and dry-hopped with Citra, Chinook, and Strata.
In My Mind (6% ABV) is an IPA loaded with Citra and Nelson Sauvin on the hot side. It’s dry-hopped with Nelson, Citra, and Riwaka. “Just before canning, we added Nelson SubZero Hop Kief to the packaging tank to elevate this beer as far as possible,” says the brewer.

London’s Boxcar Brewery closed their doors three years ago, but it turned out all was not lost.
Last month, Beak coaxed former head brewer Sam Dickison out of retirement to help them brew Cubed (6.3% ABV), a one-off re-release of Boxcar’s iconic Dark Mild.
“Built on the same beautifully complex roasted malt bill, but dialled up to a higher ABV, this is a proper winter warmer,” say the brewers. “Ceamy and comforting, with notes of plum, raisins, bourbon, and fresh coffee.”

A dual IPA release from Vocation brings together two distinct interpretations of modern hop-forward brewing – one rich and indulgent, the other crisp and highly refined.
Hop Sundae (7.5% ABV) is a soft and creamy pastry DIPA, with vibrant notes of mango, lime, melon, and coconut, rounded by subtle vanilla and lactose sweetness for a smooth, dessert-like finish.
Dry Humour (6.5% ABV) is a bright bone-dry brut IPA with a crisp, sparkling finish, and fresh gooseberry zing. White wine, citrus and soft tropical notes lead into a clean, sharply refreshing close.

DEYA have collaborated with Two Flints on a trio of beers honing in on a very estery yeast profile, heavy use of high survivable whirlpool hops, in Centennial and Riwaka, and the use of Motueka, Citra, and Dolcita at varying ratios in the dry hop across the three beers.
There’s Subliminal Messaging, a 4.6% ABV pale ale, Liminal Messaging, a 6.3% ABV IPA, and Superliminal Messaging, an 8% ABV DIPA.

Amity have launched their first ever collaboration with an American brewery. First Edition, a 5.1% ABV pale ale, has been created with Good Word Brewing, of Duluth, Georgia.
“Packed full of Citra and Talus hops, this beer is all the grapefruit you could ever imagine in one bright, delicious pale ale,” say the brewers. There are lots of citrus rind and rose petal flavours, and some resinous afternotes.
