Somerset County Cricket Club has announced a partnership with Otter Brewery which will see Otter Black become the official stout of the club.

Brewed in Devon, Otter Black is a smooth and refreshing stout. Its ingredients are sourced locally. The recipe features flaked and roasted barley from Dartmoor, English Maris Otter malt, and a blend of Willamette and classic English Fuggle hops.
At Somerset CCC, Otter Black will be available throughout the 2026 season from the County Room, the Long Room, Stragglers, the 1875 Club, and from the main bar in the fan village.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Otter Brewery as our official stout partner,” said the cricket cub’s commercial director, Caroline Herbert. “They have a fantastic reputation across the South West and further afield, and Otter Black is a perfect example of the quality and character that they are known for.”
“This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to the West Country and to creating memorable matchday experiences for our members and supporters. Otter Black is a challenger brand and, as such, it perfectly aligns with our desire to constantly be bold, brave, creative, and authentic.”
Patrick McCaig, managing director of Otter Brewery, said: “Otter Black is already one of our biggest success stories since it was launched last year, and to be approved by Somerset County Cricket as their official stout is another significant moment.
“After a fantastic season last year, Somerset CCC has established itself as one of the top clubs in the country, and we are delighted to be supporting them throughout the new campaign.”
