ORIGINAL GRAVITY 2021: the winners!

Eight Degrees Brewing - 2021 Label Artwork Poster - cropped

To celebrate ten years of brewing at Eight Degrees, we decided that we wanted to showcase Ireland-based artists in our 2021 ORIGINAL GRAVITY series.

We ran a competition looking for artworks that reflected our Naturally Adventurous values, expressing our desire to explore and roam again.

The winners, who each won €1,000 for their work, will be featured on a series of five limited beer releases, giving these emerging artists a can-sized exhibition space.

We were blown away with the engagement from artists and the level of entries that we got. We have to say a big thank you to all the people who put time and effort into creating work for the competition.

And with that – drumroll please! – we’re delighted to announce the winners:

John Culhane – release date: June
Michael Donnelly – release date: July
Niamh McCarthy – release date: August
Julie Daunt – release date: September
Coireall Kent – release date: November

Watch out for these limited edition cans on shelves near you soon!
