The digital revamp marks the latest milestone in the historic pub’s ongoing efforts to modernise while staying true to its roots.
“We’ve been part of so many wonderful stories over the past five decades, joined by families from Cornwall, the wider UK, and beyond,” said owner Sally Pickles.
“As we’ve grown, we’ve made sure that our customer service stays welcoming and warm, no matter how people connect with us — whether they’re visiting in person or online.
“This new website is all about creating a seamless, user-friendly experience that brings a little bit of Cornwall with you wherever you go, and wherever you’re visiting from.”
Website visitors can enjoy Bowgie’s familiar live stream of Crantock Beach via the pub’s 24/7 surfcam. For those with a curiosity for all things Cornwall, the Bowgie blog offers a lighthearted yet informative collection of posts, from local events to fun Cornish phrases.
Other key features include the ability to browse Bowgie’s full food and drink menus, book a table, and download the pub’s new app for easy reservations.
Sally said: “We wanted to make sure our website was as welcoming and easy to use as stepping through our front door.”
