The Licensed Trade Charity, which supports people across pubs, bars, and breweries, helped around 45,000 in 2025, a like-for-like uplift of 12.5% annually.

The figures come with the launch of the charity’s annual Impact Report, showing it provided record levels of support services across practical advice, financial assistance, and health and wellbeing guidance. This was through its website, 24-hour free helpline, and Employee Assistance Programme.
It awarded more than £1.8 million in grants and services to beneficiaries navigating financial difficulties, increasing its industry provision from 40,000 helped and £1.5 million awarded in 2024.
“Last year we achieved an incredible amount as a charity, continuing to deliver on our mission to transform lives and unleash the potential of those working, or who have previously worked, in the licensed hospitality sector,” said chief executive Chris Welham.
“Most importantly, we supported 45,000 people through our services and delivered £1.8 million in financial grants and support, a powerful reflection of both the need across our sector and the dedication of our teams, volunteers, and school staff.
“None of this would be possible without the generosity of our supporters, partners, and fundraisers, who help us raise awareness and extend our reach. As we look ahead, we remain focused on growing our impact so that everyone in licensed hospitality knows LTC is there when they need us.”
Patrick, a Licensed Trade Charity beneficiary, said: “I contacted LTC and was immediately assigned a case worker, who listened to my situation and helped me secure a grant that would pay off my debts. They helped me through a difficult time in my life, providing plenty of practical advice and emotional support.
“The team at LTC are fantastic, you couldn’t wish for better support when you’re in that situation. Their help has given me a new perspective on life again. I know that there are good people out there who are willing to help.”
