Charities across the South of England and the Channel Islands have been given a big boost, thanks to Liberation Group’s inaugural Community Engagement Week.
Teams from the company’s entire estate organised working groups and fundraising initiatives for a variety of local charities and good causes.
Highlights have included a 20-mile hike across the Mendip Hills, swimming the River Avon, beach cleaning in the Channel Islands, gardening for a disability group, an office refurbishment, creating a new corporate brand identity for a charity, car washes, dog walks, cake sales, a quiz, drag and bingo nights, auctions, and even supporting a village fireworks display.
“We’re absolutely delighted with the incredible work our teams have done, working with such a wide variety of charities and helping to support good causes in the communities we serve,” said Jonathan Lawson, chief executive of the Liberation Group. “The breadth of activities and sheer determination of all involved was quite outstanding.
“It is vital that our pubs play their part at the heart of these neighbourhoods, and our Community Engagement Week is just one way our teams can make a real difference by building meaningful and long-lasting relationships with local charities.
“It’s also lots of fun and a great way to meet the locals. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make it such a huge success.”
