Liberation Brewery is to cease production on Jersey later this month, and move it to sister company Butcombe, in Somerset.

The decision is blamed on rising costs, and brings to an end more than 150 years of brewing on the Channel Island.
Head brewer Pat Dean will make the move to Somerset where he will work alongside Butcombe Group head brewer Mike Jordan.
Pat will oversee the production of Liberation brands in the UK, ensuring that recipes and methods remain consistent. Some of the Liberation brewing equipment will be coming with him, too.
