Did you know that the Japanese have a special term for beer which is not made based on the German purity law, meaning that if any adjuncts are added, it’s no longer considered beer.
The big players in the beer industry, like Kirin, are using this definition to fight the rise of the Japanese craft brewery, even to the extent of objecting to traditional beer terms being used on the cans.
