Half Moon Brewery, of Ellerton, near York, are celebrating a bronze award in CAMRA’s Champion Beer of Britain competition.
Beers were judged at Cambridge Beer Festival, which took place last week.
“This is amazing,” said brewer Tony Rogers. “It was always in my sights to win at York Beer Festival, which we’ve done on more than one occasion, but to get to the finals of Champion Beer of Britain is phenomenal.
“Dark Masquerade was our second brew, 13 years ago, and named for its appearance at a friend’s masquerade party, it has been a permanent feature on our beer rosta ever since.”
