Greene King anticipates a summer of sport and music

Greene King is launching seasonal cask beers for summer, celebrating women’s sport and music, both going out to the on-trade in firkins and pins.

Greene King Back Net

Back of the Net is a 4% ABV golden ale with juicy citrus and tropical fruit characteristics. This is a perfect beer to have on the bar to entice customers to raise a pint to women’s sport, says the brewer.

The launch ties in with the Women’s European Championship, which gets under way in Switzerland on 2nd July. Back of The Net is available throughout June and July.

Amplified is a 4% ABV golden ale first launched in 2017 as part of a partnership with a well-known radio station. Received well, it’s making a comeback to the seasonal calendar this year as Greene King continues to celebrate a love of music in pubs.

“We’ve already experienced some brilliant weather so far this year, and I am sure we’re all hoping it continues into the next few months as we get ready for summer festivals and sporting occasions.” said Greene King’s technical brewer Alan Fulcher.

“Both of our June and July beers are about celebrating key moments this summer with a refreshing pint. We’ve seen great uptake of our seasonal cask beers so far this year, and each one is there to drive excitement and celebrate special moments on the bar.

“With both beers packed with fruity notes, they are the ideal choice as an additional cask beer.”
