Tickets for the Great British Beer Festival’s new look trade event, taking place at the NEC Birmingham on Tuesday, 5th August, are now available. Entry is free for people working in the beer and pub trade.

As well as the beers, ciders, and award announcements, the trade event features networking opportunities and a conference programme of talks and industry panels from established and rising stars in the wider industry.
Highlights of the industry conference comprise:
- Jonny Garrett, founder of the Craft Beer Channel, on his Keep Cask Alive campaign;
- Emma McClarkin OBE (British Beer and Pub Association) and Andy Slee (Society of Independent Brewers and Associates) on the government’s ongoing Access to Market review;
- Kate Nicholls OBE (UKHospitality) on evolving consumer trends; and
- Ben Gibbs (Sober Boozers Club) and Alix Blease (Lallemand) on tapping into the low- and no-alcohol revolution.
“It’s our usual trade day, but bigger and better, with an industry conference running alongside the normal free entry, Champion Beer of Britain announcement, Discovery, Bar and festival atmosphere,” said festival organiser Adam Gent.
“This year, I’m especially pleased that we’re discussing growth in no and low beers, as we’ve worked hard on an expanded range for the festival, showing our commitment to quality and choice for all consumers.”
