Fulton Brewing Collabs with Cry Baby Craig’s Hot Sauce

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Two Minnesota originals are turning up the heat this fall. Fulton Brewing and Cry Baby Craig’s Hot Sauce have teamed up to create a limited-edition chelada that’s equal parts crisp, spicy, and unapologetically Minnesotan.

Meet the Chill City Chelada – a bold mashup of Fulton’s easy-drinking, award-winning Chill City Golden Lager and Cry Baby Craig’s signature habanero heat. Add a squeeze of lime, a pinch of salt, and just enough slow-building fire to wake up your taste buds, and you’ve got the perfect North-meets-South-of-the-border refresher. It’s the kind of beer made for sipping, sharing, and celebrating that sweet spot of the year when we trade flip flops for flannel and brunch runs into overtime.

Available starting the week of October 20, the limited-edition Chill City Chelada will be sold in 16-ounce four-packs at select retailers across Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin, and on draft at Fulton’s North Loop taproom.

A Spicy Marriage of Minnesota Icons
Cry Baby Craig’s isn’t just a hot sauce – it’s the hot sauce. Handcrafted in small batches, it’s the go-to brand behind thousands of Minnesota bars, restaurants, and even hardware stores. Fulton’s Chill City Golden Lager – recently named runner-up for Best International Pale Lager by the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild – serves as the perfect canvas for this collaboration.

“We’ve been passionate about collaborations since day one,” said Holly Manthei, Fulton’s vice president of marketing. “This one hits all the right notes: local roots, killer flavor, and a chance to have some fun. It’s clean, crisp, and just spicy enough to keep you coming back for another sip.”

“We’ve always wanted to put our sauce in a beer, but it had to be the right one,” added Craig Kaiser, founder of Cry Baby Craig’s. “When Fulton called with Chill City, it was game on. It’s bright, light, and lets the spice do its thing. This one’s built for brunches, backyard hangs, and anyone who likes a little kick with their cold one.”

The Chill City Chelada isn’t here to complicate your life – it’s here to make it tastier. A crisp, low-ABV, beer-flavored-beer with a natural blend of lime, salt, and habanero heat. It’s a refreshing twist designed for flavor seekers, not heat chasers.

Hot Beer, Cool Parties

The release will be celebrated with a Vikings pregame brunch and tailgate on Sunday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Fulton’s North Loop taproom, featuring a full brunch menu, Tajin-dressed Cheladas, and low-proof Bloody Marys. The first 100 guests will take home a free co-branded pint glass. Then, on Friday, Oct. 24 at 5 p.m., Grumpy’s NE will host the official Chill City Chelada Release Party, serving complimentary bites that pair perfectly with the beer’s bright, spicy kick.
